A b o u t   C e m   O k t a y
Dr. Cem Oktay is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the prestigious and progressive Department of Emergency Medicine at Akdeniz University in Antalya. He is one of the first Emergency medicine trained physician in Turkey. As a founding member, and more recently, the president of EMAT (Emergency Medical Association of Turkey) he has had tremendous impact in the development and recognition of Emergency Medicine in Turkey. He has organized several national and international conferences, traveled Turkey and the world extensively to teach courses and seminars in Emergency Medicine. He represents Turkey in the International Federation of Emergency Medicine, the European Federation of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Medicine. In addition, he has been an advisor and consultant to the Turkish government in questions regarding the development of Emergency Medicine in that country.
